Welcome to The Lord's Living World. I am Nancy and I want to serve you. My business name tells much of my story. I began doing woodworking 5 years ago and my specialties are depictions of nature and Christian themes.
You will find three distinct forms of wood crafting on my site, fretwork, segmentation and layering. Fretwork is the cutting of quarter inch thick wood in which the center of the wood is cut in order to show the pattern or picture and the outer edges are still intact. Segmentation consists of taking a line drawing and cutting each piece from a solid piece of wood and reconstructing the object to recreate the picture. Layering is the cutting of several different shapes and gluing them together to create a recognizable three dimensional form.
Many times I will combine two techniques to give a unique appearance to my art.
