I have always had a creative side as far back as I can remember. There is just something that drives me to create! In 2008, I decided to combine my creativity with my love for nostalgia and came up with Sweet Onion Designs. There's not enough room here to explain where that name came from but in short - Onion was the name we called my wonderfully sweet grandmother who had a huge influence on my life. My mind is constantly processing new ideas for my designs - even when I wake up in the middle of the night! Coming across an old discarded object starts the creative wheels in my head. I hunt for vintage pieces all the time - estate sales, rummage sales, online auctions...
I also work part time as a school health aide and sell vintage goods on ebay. I am an empty nester, residing in the suburbs of Cincinnati, with my loving husband Bob, our Boston Terrier, Buster and 2 male cockatiels, Yogi and Boo Boo.
