Sherry snarko! Monarko is a polymer artist in Austin Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design--graduating magna cum laude and a Presidential Award Nominee--from La Roche College in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
After working as a graphic designer in San Franciso for eight years, snarko! moved to Austin in 2001. She was a prominent talent with the Austin Figurative Group and Pump Project primarily as a painter and sumi-e artist, with several solo and juried exhibitions.
As her paintings in acrylics became increasingly textural, snarko! began to create three dimensional designs, using polymer clay and many of the techniques and materials from her previous artwork experience, as well as creating her own business. Her polymer creations are shown at the Gibson Street Artisan Market, and has been featured in several juried artisan exhibitions for her originality and craftsmanship.
